Team EY is offering new and exciting programs and helping to increase participation in the community.
Summer camps will be based out of the East York Skatepark (other skateparks will also be visited).
Lessons will be held outdoors at the East York Skatepark and indoors at the EY Skate Loft - depending on the season.
The camp and clinic sessions are intended for boys and girls from beginner to intermediate skill levels. The typical age for participants in this type of camp is 5 – 14 years. Emphasis will be on teaching safety and the development of skills in a fun, positive and healthy environment. Participants will also learn about skatepark etiquette, stretching, equipment terminology and maintenance, and the various styles of skateboarding.
The main purpose of skate camps and lessons are to benefit the individual participants by providing a fun learning environment where they will be presented with clear instruction of how to develop their skateboarding skills in a safe manner, while in a supportive atmosphere.
